Lord, don't let me be guilty of "fashion compassion". The kind of care that's temporary and only interested in the cool issue that's getting the media attention. It's the kind of concern that celebrities show temporarily, until the next one comes along or the camera's leave. But the needs remain, the pain continues and the compassion can't cease. There's so many ways to help those in need. You can help locally, community wide, regionally or internationally. Just look or ask around. Don't let the media spotlight be the only way you see the needs around you.
